Roblox Game Developer (Design & Programming)

Singapore Internship

This role may be structured as a three-month internship or a full-time project-based contract position, depending on the candidate's experience and availability.

CAREERS__DESC_TITLE
  • Propose and build gameplay features, new content, and seasonal updates for Roblox games to improve player engagement, retention, social interaction, and monetisation.​
  • Design and prototype gameplay loops, progression, game economy, rewards, balancing, social systems, and player motivation.
  • Own features from concept through iteration, using player feedback, performance data, and team reviews to develop practical, player-centric solutions.​
  • Implement production-ready gameplay systems and features in Roblox Studio, taking responsibility for technical quality and timely delivery.
  • Integrate UI, animation, VFX, assets, data, and other supporting components required to deliver complete player experiences.​
  • Participate actively in planning, playtesting, debugging, optimisation, and continuous product improvement, communicating technical risks and development constraints early.
  • Stay current with Roblox platform updates, development tools, successful games, and industry practices.
CAREERS__REQUIRE_TITLE
  • A diploma or degree in Computer Science, Game Design, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Portfolio demonstrating game design and implementation through academic/ personal projects, or professional experience is required, ideally demonstrating shipped or playable systems/mechanics.
  • Proficiency in Luau and Roblox Studio, or strong or experience with languages such as Lua, C#, or C++.
  • Understanding of gameplay loops, progression, economies, balancing, client-server architecture, data persistence, performance optimisation, and live game considerations.
  • Familiarity with Roblox player behaviours, platform conventions, and popular game genres.
  • Strong ownership, communication, collaboration and problem-solving, with the ability to iterate through playtesting, player feedback, and data.
  • Familiarity with to using AI tools to support prototyping and development.
  • Willingness to contribute beyond programming (e.g., basic UI or asset integration) and develop as a well-rounded game creator.
